During the COVID-19 pandemic, Indianapolis-based real estate entrepreneur Antonio Lisenbee noticed a troubling trend.
Hoosier Housing Foundation grew out of my own journey in real estate and community development. After spending years buying, renovating, and selling homes in Central Indiana, I kept seeing the same reality—too many families were being priced out of safe and stable housing. It wasn’t just about fixing up properties; it was about recognizing a deeper need in our community. I wanted to do more than build houses—I wanted to build opportunities, create stability, and give families the chance to plant roots where they could truly thrive.
What began as a personal passion has now become a mission shared by a growing team of partners, supporters, and neighbors who believe in the same vision. Every project we take on—whether it’s restoring an older home, developing new housing, or guiding first-time buyers—is fueled by the belief that affordable housing can transform lives and entire neighborhoods. This isn’t just my story—it’s the story of the Hoosiers we serve and the brighter future we’re working to create together.
